Meet your teacher

こんにちは。講師のマークです。 イギリスのマンチェスター出身で、日本では20年以上英語を教えています。スポーツやアウトドアが大好きで、これまでに北アルプス、南アルプス、大雪山、富士山、八ヶ岳など、日本各地の山を登ってきました。

サッカー観戦も好きで、特にプレミアリーグをよく見ています。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのファンで、2人の息子と一緒にサッカーをするのも楽しみの一つです。 また、サイクリングやランニングも好きで、東京マラソンや横浜マラソン、さらに日本各地のウルトラマラソンにも参加してきました。ゴルフも好きですが、あまり上手ではありません。

スポーツをしていないときは、DIYやアンティーク家具の修復（椅子やテーブルなど）を楽しんでいます。

Hi there. My name is Mark.
I am from Manchester, England. I have been teaching English here in Japan for over twenty years. I love sports and the outdoors. I have hiked many of Japan`s mountains including The North Alps, The South Alps, Daisetsuzan, Mt.Fuji and Yatsugatake.

I like to watch football, especially the Premier League. I am a Manchester United fan and enjoy playing football with my two young sons. I also like cycling and running. I have run in the Tokyo and Yokohama marathons and also run in Ultra marathons in Japan. I also like to play golf but I’m not very good at it.

When I’m not playing sports, I like to do DIY, restoring old antiques such as chairs and tables.
